Roam Easy Plans

Digicel now offers their customers the new prepaid Roam Easy Plans, allowing them to stay connected with their loved ones while traveling. Subscribers can activate Digicel roaming in more than 60 countries. Apart from free incoming calls, customers also get reduced calling and texting rates with the prepaid SIM card.

• 3-Day Plan: 500 MB of data and free incoming calls for JM$900+GCT
• 7-Day Plan: 1 GB of data and free incoming calls for JM$1,800+GCT
• 30-Day Plan: 3 GB of data for JM$5,300+GCT or 5 GB of data for JM$8,800+GCT

Digicel Jamaica Prepaid Cell Phone

Digicel offers three international prepaid plans for its roaming customers. All plans include rollover data, unlimited MyDigicel and an any-use data allowance.

• 28-Day Prime Brawta Plan: 2,500 minutes of local minutes, 100 international minutes and 50 GB of data
• 7-Day Plan: 800 local minutes, 60 international minutes and 40 GB of data
• 30-Day Plan: 3,500 local minutes, 150 international minutes and 80 GB of data

Coverage and Compatibility

Are you traveling to the United States? U.S. networks no longer use 2G and 3G networks for roaming. Enable your Voice over LTE to enjoy voice and internet service when you visit. You may need to get a new phone if your phone only supports 2G or 3G.

When traveling to the United States, we recommend getting the 30-Day Roam Easy Plan. This plan allows you to receive incoming calls for free while away and enjoy 8 GB of roaming data.

Additional Services and Features

Digicel customers planning to visit the United States, the United Kingdom or Canada can save money by purchasing the new postpaid international voice packs. The international voice packs let you purchase bundled minutes you can use in the three countries. You can purchase bundled minutes for both the United States and Canada and a separate postpaid plan for the United Kingdom.

Important Things to Know

If you purchase international voice packs for the United Kingdom, note that the plan only includes calls to UK mobile numbers. For the United States and Canada, subscribers can use the plan to call landline and mobile numbers. Users can activate more than one international calling pack, so purchasing another SIM card is unnecessary. All plans can also be rolled over; any unused minutes are carried over if you renew before the plan expires.

When switching to an eSIM, some devices may not be supported. For example, the iPhone 10 isn't compatible with the eSIM. If you have a Samsung device, you can use the physical SIM card for calls and the eSIM for data.

Below are some commonly asked questions about your Digicel international SIM card.

1. How Long Would Swapping My SIM to a Plus SIM Card Take?

You can't swap your Digicel SIM card for a Plus SIM Card. Subscribers may switch their regular SIM card to an eSIM, but your phone will have to be unlocked. Also, not all phones support eSIM.

2. Do I Have to Sign a Contract?

There's no need to sign a contract for the prepaid Digicel Plans. Just activate it via the app or by calling their hotline number. If you prefer to sign up for a postpaid plan, Digicel requires its customers to sign a 1- to 2-year contract. If you terminate before the term ends, an early cancellation fee applies.

3. How Do I Activate My SIM Card?

Just use the Digicel app to activate your SIM card or dial *153 for the prepaid Digicel plans. Ensure you have enough credits when choosing the BUY option, or you won't be able to activate your SIM card. To activate using the app, just log in, go to Store and select Plans. Tap Available Plans, and click your desired plan.

To activate a postpaid or hybrid Digicel plan, visit the office from Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. or every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Remember to bring a valid ID. Accepted IDs include a driver's license, passport or national identity card. After choosing a plan, you need to fill out a form, accept the terms and sign in.
